The Metabolic Health Institute is a non-profit organization.
- We provide a scientifically authoritative and credible online source of information for the education of healthcare professionals, policymakers and the public about obesity, diabetes and their evidence-based treatments.
- The Institute aims to inspire and support innovative research, both within the Institute and at partner academic institutions.
- Above all, the Institute aims to become a leader in patients advocacy and will promote initiatives designed to eradicate stigma of obesity.
Following on previous successful initiatives of its Founders, the Metabolic Health Institute will partner with professional societies in the organization of consensus conferences to develop clinical guidelines and recommendations that expedite translation of new scientific evidence into medical practice.
Metabolic Health Institute is a company limited by guarantee and without share capital, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 13564415).
Since 2021, we have been officially licensed as an Institute by the United Kingdom Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy in accordance with section 1194 (1) of the Companies Act 2006. In the United Kingdom, “Institute” is a protected word whose use is only allowed for “organisations which are carrying out research and education at the highest level or to professional bodies of the highest standing”.
