Metabolic Health Institute Structure

The Metabolic Health Institute is governed by the Board of Directors and is managed by the Executive Committee.

The Global Advisory Board provides strategic advice to the Institute’s Board of Directors and executives. Its members can also nominate candidates to the award of Distinguished Fellows

The Scientific Committee provides scientific advice and supports the activities of the Institute. Members of the committee includes leaders from diverse geographical areas that oversee and promote local initiatives of the Institute.

Distinguished Fellows

The Institute recognises individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of obesity, diabetes and metabolic diseases. The award of Distinguished Fellow of the Metabolic Health Institute is honorary and is conferred to a select few people by the Directors, on advice of the Scientific Advisory Board.

Distinguished Fellows:

Are globally influential researchers, clinicians and educators with track records of outstanding contributions to the advancement of metabolic medicine and surgery.
Have demonstrated sustained commitment to advancing science, education, clinical practice and/or supporting people living with obesity and diabetes.
Distinguished Fellows are invited to share their achievements and work through personal pages on the Institute’s website and they assist the Institute in its mission.
